e-Factor: Battle of the Business Idea Workshop
As part of e-Factors 'Battle of the Business
Idea' competition, each individual that entered the competition was
invited along to a workshop that offered them the chance to learn about
business pitching techniques and presentation skills, to help them build
their confidence before they had the chance to pitch their business
idea in front of an audience at St. James' Hotel, Grimsby.
TV4Change
joined forces with e-Factor to offer the candidates the chance to learn
practical media and social networking skills to accompany their
business skills. Each member of the group was able to learn how to use
the camera and sound equipment and film each other delivering their
pitch in front of the camera. This film has been co-produced by
volunteers taking part in the workshop & edited by Tom Hughes.
The
groups confidence clearly grows on film, from entering the room at the
start of the day and keeping themselves to themselves, to working
cohesively together and encouraging each other, going home with skills
and confidence that they weren't expecting to have at the start of the
day.
Take a look at the workshop on this film and watch how the
candidates develop over the course of the day, ready to face the big
challenge of pitching he business idea in the competition final.
(eFactors
